Nestled in the heart of Chelsea’s Duke of York Square, Café Linea brings together an artisan bakery, café and cocktail bar under one roof.
The concept celebrates timeless European café culture with a contemporary London twist — combining craftsmanship, comfort and character.
ECSEC ltd delivered a full interior and exterior fit-out, transforming a listed arcade unit into a warm, high-end hospitality destination.
The Brief
The brief was to realise the client’s vision of an all-day dining space where early-morning pastries flow naturally into evening aperitifs.
Designers Dion & Arles created a refined palette of materials — soft colour palette, marble, warm timber tones, and mosaic tiling, demanding precise detailing and heritage-sensitive installation.
Ecsec's role covered the complete interior fit-out, front of house, kitchen and bakery installation, M&E coordination with conservation authorities.

Challenges & Solutions
Working within a Grade II-listed structure required delicate coordination between design intent and practical build.
Preserving original vaulted ceilings and stonework while achieving modern service standards was achieved through early-stage planning, coordination and continuous dialogue with stakeholders.
Tight programme constraints were met through phased procurement and detailed weekly site management — ensuring delivery on time and on budget.

Café Linea opened on schedule, welcoming guests to a space that feels both contemporary and classic — a seamless blend of architecture, design and craftsmanship.
