Project Overview

ECSEC Ltd, a UK-based specialist in high-end commercial and hospitality interior fit-outs, was appointed as main contractor for the interior fit-out of Din Tai Fung Canary Wharf, working alongside Bureau de Hunch designers. Creating the latest London restaurant for the globally renowned Taiwanese dining brand.

With a heritage of over 50 years delivering complex interior projects, ECSEC brought their trademark precision, quality and partnership approach to create a premium dining environment within one of London’s most prestigious locations.

Client Objectives

The client’s brief was to deliver a flagship restaurant reflecting Din Tai Fung’s global identity, while complementing the sophisticated character of Canary Wharf. ECSEC Ltd was tasked with:

  • Delivering a complete interior transformation from shell to handover.

  • Achieving a refined finish through bespoke joinery, feature lighting, and premium materials.

  • Integrating high-performance MEP systems for a busy commercial kitchen.

  • Managing a fast-track programme within a live mixed-use environment.

Scope of Works

ECSEC Ltd’s comprehensive fit-out package included:

  • Strip-out and enabling works.

  • Full mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) installation.

  • Partitioning, ceilings, and wall finishes.

  • Custom joinery and furniture – feature counters, banquette seating, service stations.

  • Flooring and architectural detailing to reflect the brand’s design palette.

  • Coordination and installation of specialist kitchen and catering equipment.

  • Final finishing, commissioning, and client handover.
