ECSEC was engaged to deliver the full interior fit-out for Phase Eight’s flagship store at Westfield London. The ambition was to craft a refined, contemporary environment that reflects Phase Eight’s brand identity—elegant, modern, accessible—while meeting the logistical challenges of a busy retail mall environment.
Operating within a live shopping centre, the project demanded rigorous programme control, seamless stakeholder coordination and premium finish standards.
The Brief
Phase Eight required a store environment that could:
Communicate the brand’s elevated womenswear positioning through high-quality materials, lighting and spatial flow.
Provide a warm, welcoming shopping experience that encourages dwell time and brand engagement.
Integrate bespoke joinery, feature lighting and brand-specific fixtures in a live retail setting without disrupting neighbouring tenancies.
Be delivered on-time and on-budget, with minimal interruption to mall operations and retail trading.
Our Approach

Early coordination & planning: We engaged retail interior design, brand specialists and mall management at the outset to establish clear interfaces, phasing and handover constraints.
Turnkey delivery: From structural works, partitions and ceilings, through M&E, lighting and finishes, to bespoke joinery and FF&E installation. ECSEC offered one-point accountability.

Live retail environment management: As the store sits within Westfield, we maintained strict adherence to mall logistics, access windows, noise and dust control, and build programme discipline.
